Cocaine Psychotherapy Project

Conducted by The Psychotherapy and Substance Abuse Research Group at The Institute of Living Burlingame Center for Psychiatric Research and Education

In affiliation with The Yale University School of Medicine

Funded by: National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA)

Project Personnel: Adam Jaffe, Ph.D. (Principal Investigator), Charlie Wilber, M.Ed. (Project Director)

Cocaine addiction is a significant problem in today's society.  While previous research has shown that psychotherapy can be effective in treating cocaine abuse, it is clear that such therapy can also be improved.  Thus, the major goal of the current study is to examine the effectiveness of several different psychotherapies.  In doing so, we hope to provide participants with effective treatment for their cocaine addiction, as well as shed light on ways to improve existing treatment methods for cocaine users.

Who is eligible for treatment?

This study has stopped recruitment at this time.
